Why did God allow the fall of Adam and Eve?

The greatest tragedy in the history of mankind occurred in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve, created in God's image and likeness, for eternal heavenly life, broke the commandment. They ate the forbidden fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and thus fell away from the Lord. How to understand this tragedy? Why did the merciful and loving God allow the fall of Adam and Eve? Why did all the descendants of the progenitors have to bear the burden of original sin? Read about it in the article.

Adam and Eve - Mosaic

Payback for the crime of the commandments

The pinnacle of all the Lord's creations was a man created in the image of God. And this ideal creation was rewarded by God with a special gift - freedom of choice.

The Lord created all the conditions, “provided” a truly heavenly life, and set only one commandment - about not eating the fruits of the tree of knowledge. God warned: if you taste from this tree, you will die.

Exile from paradise

What is biblical death? This is a break of communication with God.The Lord seemed to have warned: I gave you only one condition; if you disobey Me, then our relationship will no longer be as trusting as it used to be, everything will change. By the crime of commandment, Adam and Eve betrayed the Lord and thus fell away from the Source of Life. In this sense, they became dead.

How did God even make the fall?

Many people ask themselves: why did the Lord, the loving and merciful Father, generally allow the fall of Adam and Eve? Could He not make man incapable of sin? No, I could not. Why? Because God created people in His own image. If God is free, then man also possesses this gift. He is not a robot, not a toy, not a puppet, whose actions can be controlled with the help of ropes.

The Lord knows about the possible negative consequences of thoughts and actions, therefore he warns the person. But he does not force Adam and Eve to do what is right. They are free to choose for themselves and be responsible for the consequences of their decisions.
If God had forbidden the possibility of the fall, he would have committed violence against human nature.

The fall of Adam and Eve influenced all descendants

Even after eating the forbidden fruit, the progenitors had the opportunity to repent in the Garden of Eden. Instead, they hid from God. And when the Lord asked Adam if he had not eaten the forbidden fruit, the first man, instead of repenting, indirectly blamed the Lord: this is the wife God created, gave him the fruit, and therefore he ate.

Banished from paradise

The consequences of the fall were too great. Sin, penetrated into human hearts, passed on to descendants. People by their efforts could not defeat him.

Some readers will ask: why then did God not save people from the consequences? But how? Sin is already in man. What to do: forcibly kill the sinners and create sinless ones instead? What about freedom of choice? And where is the guarantee that the new creations would not break the commandment? In this situation, the Lord chose another option.

Redemption price

God of love and mercy for the salvation of people He himself made a sacrifice. To redeem all mankind, the Son of God became incarnate and came into the world. To restore immortality to people, Christ was crucified on the Cross and died.

Crucifixion of Christ

With the help of the fruit on the Tree of Knowledge, the fall of Adam and Eve occurred, with the help of the Cross Tree, the whole world was saved.

What is original sin and is it possible to get rid of it?
Even a small child who is just coming into this world, before he can do anything, is already sinned. He inherited this condition from his parents. Many vices are inherent in the modern world, and the counting of the Falls begins from our progenitors Adam and Eve, who created original sin.
The Fall and its aftermath
The paradise bliss of the first people and, consequently, the perfection of the created world, was short-lived. According to many holy fathers and teachers of the Church, another, sad story - the fall into sin followed the magnificent history of peacemaking. A terrible day has come - the day of the fall of the progenitors. Not only the numerous beneficiaries of the Creator, but also the threat and fear of death did not stop Adam and Eve.
Spiritual and psychological aspects of the Fall
How did Adam fall? How was it possible if he talked with God,have you seen his glory and tasted of heavenly bliss? What were the psychological mechanisms of the fall? The questions are not rhetorical and certainly not idle, since each of us, in our own sins, in a certain sense repeats the fall of Adam.
Why did the original sin committed by Adam and Eve pass onto their descendants
The sin of the progenitors had a profound effect on human nature, which determined the entire subsequent life of mankind, because the man created by God wished consciously and freely, instead of the will of God, to establish his will as the main principle of life.

Death and original sin
Speaking of death and original sin, we do not mean at all that death, as the supposedly natural state of human nature, preceded original sin. On the contrary, death is connected with the sin of the forefather Adam as a consequence of the cause. This moment is very important and it must be especially emphasized: death was not originally natural for man, it invaded human nature as a result of sin and, therefore, acts as a parasite in it.
Sin as the norm and original sin
New, most popular philosophy and ideology: there is no sin! Stop chasing people. The time has come to free them from feelings of guilt - whether it is a question of gender relations, money, infidelity, lies, selfishness, voluptuousness, ambition, a free lifestyle, and a thousand other things. It's time to break out of the steel chains that bind the human consciousness and do not allow us to find happiness in our short life on earth.
Original sin
The problem of evil is essentially a Christian problem. For an atheist to see, evil is only one aspect of the absurdity; for an atheist who is blind, it is a temporary result of the still imperfect organization of society and the world. In monistic metaphysics, evil is the inalienable definition of creature as separated from God.
