It is hard to believe, but in front of you is not a selection of photos from fascinating journeys to distant and exotic countries, but a photo report telling about the working life of geologists. While most people work to save money for travel, geologists, by contrast, are paid for their trips. Australian geologist Christopher Spencer founded the Traveling Geologist site, where his colleagues share photos from the most picturesque corners of the Earth in which they have worked.

A student of the Faculty of Geology is practicing in Greenland.
