Beauty requires sacrifice? Cosmetics that kill us
Everyone knows or guesses that cosmetics are made from "chemistry", but they hardly suspect what hazardous substances they contain. And even the so-called natural cosmetics in this case is not a panacea. What kind of poison is hiding in pretty jars and tubes?
What is makeup
- Virtually all cosmetics include components such as ... oil! For example, paraffin oil is the real product of oil refining. There are in the composition of cosmetic wax, creams, body oils. The more such a substance is contained in the product, the greater the damage, since in this case it simply lies on the skin, makes oxygen exchange difficult and causes a number of side effects.
- The basis of the creams also comprise various synthetic emulsifiers, which, when in contact with the skin, behave rather aggressively. For example, glycerin, which often enters the means for the face and hands, takes moisture from the deep layers of our skin and holds it to the surface.Over time, this will only give the opposite effect, and the moisturizer will be a delayed dehydrating agent.
- Preservatives such as parabens in cosmetics that can cause cancer are very dangerous. In this case, technologists say: the content of parabens in the range of 0.5 g in cosmetics is permissible, only not all manufacturers fit into this norm. Most often they are found in cosmetics: lotions, sprays, aftershave gels, etc.
Should I refuse deodorants?
Antiperspirants love for the fact that they reduce the amount of sweat, or even completely block it for some time. But the sweat does not disappear anywhere, but accumulates in the excretory duct of the sweat gland, causing inflammation. Therefore, antiperspirants often lead to the occurrence of hydradenitis - painful seals in the form of cones in the armpit.
These products contain such dangerous substances as aluminum salts and the same parabens and formaldehyde, which eliminates the very reason for the unpleasant smell of sweat, that is, bacteria, and, in fact, embalms us alive.
Doctors recommend abandoning antiperspirants and using an ordinary deodorant that does not block the release of sweat, but merely masks its smell. But this does not mean that they are completely safe. The composition of many deodorants includes triclosan - an antibacterial component, which tend to accumulate in the body, as a result of which it begins to negatively affect the endocrine system. And beware if you see phthalates in the composition - designed to keep the smell of deodorant on the skin, they contribute to the development of infertility, and in pregnant women cause fetal pathology.
What harm us shampoos
Especially a lot of "chemistry" we pour on your hair, in particular, this applies to those who wash their hair almost every day. Many cosmetics contain sodium lauryl sulfate, in particular, shampoos - this component, with frequent use, begins to irritate the scalp and weakens its protective functions. It is used even to degrease the engines of cars - imagine how it affects your skin!
The appearance of dandruff, allergies and hair loss leads to another popular ingredient - silicone contained in shampoos. And they also again contain parabens that threaten us with cancer.
Is it worth it in such a case to switch to natural cosmetics, and does such cosmetics really contain chemicals? What damage can hair dye do? What we slip cosmetic stores? Continuing the theme is waiting for you in the video:
